Dozer Day Event
June 4th & 5th
 Puyallup Fairgrounds
What is Dozer Day?
Started by the Nutter Family Foundation, Dozer Day is a family oriented event where kids get to learn about their community and careers in the construction industry. Kids will get the opportunity to sit in the cab of heavy equipment and handle the controls and operate the machinery (beside professional operators) along with other exciting activities!
Last Committee Meeting
We will be holding our last committee meeting the week of our event on Tuesday, May 31st.  Please RSVP to Andrea or register online.  We recommend that all committee chairpersons and sponsors who will be having a booth and/or providing equipment to our event attend this meeting.

On Wednesday, April 29, 2015, Governor Jay Inslee signed into law HB 1601. HB 1601, the venue bill, helps level the playing field in construction contracts with counties throughout the state. HB 1601 allows contractors to sue a county in either that county or one of the two nearest counties. This legislation helps provide an impartial forum for contractors, and promotes fairness. The significant work that led to the passing of this legislation was spearheaded by NUCA of Washington, with support from the AGC of Washington.

Bob Marconi is the chair of NUCA of Washington’s Legislative Committee.
